The Aircast AirSelect Short Air Walker Boot from DJO is a pneumatic walking boot for patients recovering from foot and ankle injuries who want dependable support in a low-profile design. Its shaft stops just above the ankle, making it lighter and less bulky than the taller Standard version while offering the same air cell support.

Customizable, independent distal air cells use an integrated inflation system, so no hand bulb is needed to achieve a secure, individualized fit. The semi-rigid shell is trimmable and heat-moldable, letting clinicians custom-fit the boot around a patient's anatomy for lasting comfort.

A sleek open-frame design keeps the foot and ankle ventilated, and contouring around the malleoli removes pressure points during extended wear. SoftStrike technology absorbs energy at heel strike to help reduce heel pain, and the nonmarking, skid-resistant rubber tread adds traction indoors and out. Available in four sizes, and the boot fits either the left or right foot.

How is the AirSelect Short different from the Standard Tall version?
The Short stops just above the ankle, so it is lighter and less bulky and works well for injuries that do not need support higher up the leg. The Standard Tall rises to about mid-calf for more coverage and stability. Both use the same air cell system, rocker sole and three-strap closure.
Do I need a hand bulb to inflate the air cells?
No. The AirSelect Short has an integrated inflation system built into the boot, so each independent air cell can be adjusted by hand for a customized fit without any separate pump.
Which size should I order?
Sizing follows shoe size: Small fits men's 4-7 or women's 5-8, Medium men's 7-10 or women's 8-11, Large men's 10-13 or women's 11-15, and X-Large men's 13 and up or women's 15 and up. See the size chart on this page.
Can the boot be worn on either foot?
Yes. The AirSelect Short is designed to work on either the left or right foot, so you do not need to specify a side when ordering.
