The Hollister New Image FlexWear Skin Barrier is the adhesive wafer base of Hollister's popular two-piece ostomy system. It features the FlexWear skin barrier for gentle, reliable skin protection and built-in convexity that helps coax flush, recessed, or retracted stomas to protrude for a more secure, leak-resistant seal. This 70 mm (2¾ inch) flange is color-coded blue to help you quickly match it with a compatible New Image pouch.
Because this is a two-piece system, the barrier stays on your skin while you snap on or change a matching New Image pouch without disturbing the wafer underneath. The exclusive floating flange lets you attach the pouch without pressing down on a tender, post-operative abdomen, adding comfort and confidence at every change. The convex shape adds gentle pressure around the stoma for added security and skin protection, day in and day out.
This is a cut-to-fit barrier, so you can trim the opening to match your unique stoma - ideal for irregular, oval, or changing stomas after surgery. It offers a standard wear time, is not made with natural rubber latex, and is FSA/HSA eligible.
