The Hollister New Image CeraPlus Skin Barrier is the adhesive wafer base of Hollister's popular New Image two-piece ostomy system. Built with the CeraPlus skin barrier, it is infused with ceramide and Remois technology that help protect the skin's natural moisture barrier and reduce transepidermal water loss. This flat, cut-to-fit barrier with a 44 mm (1¾-inch) flange is ideal for people whose stoma protrudes normally and sits on a flat abdominal surface.
As a skin barrier, this wafer adheres securely to your peristomal skin and provides the coupling ring that a separate New Image pouch snaps onto. Because it's a two-piece design, you can remove, change, or reposition the pouch without disturbing the barrier or irritating your skin. The extended-wear formulation resists breakdown from output for dependable, longer-lasting protection, while the surrounding tape border gives you added security and confidence throughout the day.
The cut-to-fit opening lets you trim the barrier to match irregular, oval, or changing stomas for a personalized, snug fit—the 44 mm flange works with stoma openings up to about 1.25 inches.
