The ConvaTec Sur-Fit Natura Durahesive Skin Barrier is the adhesive wafer base of ConvaTec's trusted two-piece ostomy system. Built with the extended-wear Durahesive skin barrier, it is designed for people whose stoma output is mostly liquid and who need dependable protection for the delicate peristomal skin. This barrier features a 38 mm plastic coupling ring (orange in ConvaTec's color-matching system), so it snaps securely to any Sur-Fit Natura pouch with a matching 38 mm flange.
Durahesive is formulated to swell or "turtleneck" around the stoma, hugging the base to create a tighter seal that shields the surrounding skin from moisture and output. The rigid plastic coupling ring lets you attach and remove your pouch with an audible "click" for confidence and security, and because this is a two-piece system, you can change the pouch as needed without disturbing the barrier on your skin. The square barrier shape maximizes adhesive contact for longer, more comfortable wear.
