Coloplast Assura Two-Piece Skin Barrier, Convex, Cut-to-Fit, 60 mm Flange
The Coloplast Assura Two-Piece Skin Barrier is the adhesive wafer base of Coloplast's dependable two-piece Assura ostomy system. Built with Coloplast's signature double-layer adhesive—a caring inner layer that's gentle on peristomal skin and a secure outer layer that locks the barrier in place—this convex, extended-wear barrier is designed for anyone with a flush, retracted, or otherwise hard-to-fit stoma who needs reliable protection and a confident seal.
The gentle convex shape applies subtle pressure around the stoma to help it protrude, directing output cleanly into your pouch and away from the skin. A spiral adhesive construction delivers secure, long-lasting, skin-friendly wear, while the sturdy coupling ring lets you attach, remove, and change your Assura pouch as often as needed without disturbing the barrier. Built-in belt tabs work with the Brava belts 4215 and 4220 for extra security during active days.
This is a cut-to-fit barrier, so you can trim the opening to match irregular, oval, or changing stomas for a personalized fit—no guesswork. The barrier features a 60 mm flange (Coloplast's blue color-coded coupling), so be sure to pair it with an Assura pouch that has a matching 60 mm blue coupling. It is not made with natural rubber latex and is FSA/HSA eligible. Select your option below to order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this a pouch or just the skin barrier?
A: This is the skin barrier (wafer) only—the adhesive base of a two-piece system. You'll need a separate Assura pouch with a matching 60 mm blue coupling to complete your system.
Q: Why should I choose a convex barrier?
A: A convex barrier applies gentle pressure around the stoma to help flush, recessed, or retracted stomas protrude, which improves the seal and helps prevent leaks and skin irritation.
Q: What size stoma does this fit?
A: Because it is cut-to-fit, you can trim the opening to fit stomas from 15 mm up to 43 mm, making it ideal for irregular or changing stomas.
Q: What does the 60 mm flange mean, and why is the color important?
A: The 60 mm flange is the coupling size where the pouch attaches. Coloplast uses a color-coded system—this one is blue—so match it to an Assura pouch with the same 60 mm blue coupling for a secure connection.
Q: Is this barrier FSA/HSA eligible and latex-free?
A: Yes. This barrier is not made with natural rubber latex and is FSA/HSA eligible.
