Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding FSA and HSA accounts.
What is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an employer-established benefit account allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars (up to $2,650 per year, per employer) to cover eligible medical expenses. Flexible Spending Accounts enable customers to save money on certain medical and dental costs covered by their respective plans. Your FSA dollars can be used to cover medical costs, including eligible over-the-counter healthcare products, for you and any dependents claimed on your federal tax return.
What is a Health Savings Account (HSA)?
A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a type of savings account that allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars (up to $3,450 per individual or $6,900 per family) to cover eligible medical expenses. An HSA can be used only if you have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Please check with your plan administrator to see if your plan is eligible for an HSA.

What happens to my money if I don’t use all of my FSA dollars?
Funds allocated to an FSA can be spent on eligible items in the calendar year that the plan covers. While FSA funds are designated to be fully spent in the same year that contributions to the account are made, select plans allow either (1) a carryover of $500 to the next calendar, or (2) a grace period of up to 2 months and 15 days at the beginning of the next calendar year to spend all unused funds in the account. For full details on your plan’s policy for unspent funds, please refer to your FSA plan agreement or contact your plan administrator.
What happens to my money if I don't use all of my HSA dollars?
Funds allocated to an HSA account roll over year to year if you do not spend them fully. For full details on your plan’s policy, please refer to your HSA plan agreement or contact your plan administrator.

When you have unpleasant stains and odors around the house, does your cleaner mask them with perfume? Clorox® Urine Remover actually breaks down urine to eliminate odors. And its powerful cleaner removes stains.
• 32 ounce spray bottle
• Fruity floral scent
• From Clorox Commercial Solutions
• Removes stains with oxidizing power of hydrogen peroxide and stain-lifting surfactants
• Breaks down urine to quickly eliminate odors
• Formulated for tough-to-clean porous surfaces, like grout
How is this product different from our hydrogen-peroxide based disinfectants?
This product is designed to be safe for use on fibers and soft surfaces such as carpet, upholstered furniture, mattresses and bed linens. It is also specially designed to remove urine odors and stains and has a light fragrance which quickly dissipates. Our hydrogen-peroxide disinfectants are designed for disinfecting hard, nonporous surfaces.
Will it work on other types of stains and soils?
Yes! This formula is optimal for organic (protein-based) stains. Protein-based stains include human stains such as blood, vomit, feces and semen. It is also great for pet stains. The product may also be used as a pretreatment step on sheets, pillowcases, towels and linens prior to a normal laundry wash. The pretreatment step will boost the removal of food stains such as gravy, spaghetti sauce, red wine and chocolate syrup during laundering.
Why use a specialized urine cleaner? Why not just use a General Bathroom Cleaner (GBC) for urine?
GBCs won’t break down stubborn uric acid crystals (which create long-term odors and give off ammonia once re-wet).
If this product is so great, why not use it as a GBC?
This product is specialized for protein-based stains. It won’t work as well on soap scum, hard water and other types of bathroom stains. It is also not an EPA-registered disinfectant, which is often needed in restrooms.
Why not use enzymes? Why is our hydrogen peroxide-based product better?
Enzymes are created by bacteria to digest proteins found in urine. These bacteria (sometimes called ‘bugs’) are living organisms that essentially "eat’" uric acid crystals. The affected area must be hospitable to the bacteria in order for them to work — moist, not too hot and must not come in contact with chemicals that kill bacteria. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down the proteins and microorganisms found in urine through oxidization to quickly address short-term and long-term smells. Our formula also includes surfactants and an acidic pH, which effectively removes urine stains.
What are the benefits over other enzyme cleaners?
Cleans urine stains better and faster on porous grout. Because we do not have constraints that enzyme-based cleaners do, we can include ingredients such as an oxygen-based bleaching agent (hydrogen peroxide), surfactants, a mild solvent (isopropyl alcohol) and an acidic pH.
