Proven Strength and Durability, made to the higher quality standard you have come to expect the adult diapers and other products made by Gary®. This will assure you diapers that fit better and are more comfortable to wear. Our washable incontinence diapers also have been rigorously tested as well. They are designed for the individuals with heavy urinary or bowel leakages, these reusable adult diapers when used with Gary® full seated adult plastic pants, will make that perfect combination for containment of Urine and bowl leakage. Our durable adult diapers are made from soft terry or flannel cotton cloth that comes in several shapes, sizes, styles, and fabrics (the pull-on style diaper comes with terry inlay). What these incontinence diapers all share in common is they are sewn from 100% breathable, soft flannel cotton fabric. Cotton cloth that permits your body to cool itself when heat builds up, since fresh air can circulate freely and moisture can evaporate, eliminating the main causes of diaper rash, which is caused by the lack of air circulation. You will notice with each additional washing and drying that the diapers begin to fluff and quilt up. This is what gives the product the softness and even more absorbency providing ideal protection against heavy incontinence as well as complete loss of bladder control. Do expect 10% shrinkage of the cotton cloth diapers after several washes. Our adult cloth diapers must be worn with waterproof plastic pants (to prevent leakage) we recommend Gary® full seated vinyl plastic pants for this purpose. The smallest sizes of our fitted adult cloth diapers are also suitable for older children suffering from incontinence.
When in need of a more absorbent adult diaper to alleviate the problem with leakage of heavy amounts of urine or bowels, the right choice of protection is a matter of your health as well as comfort. The natural absorbency and comfort of our incontinence cloth diapers is the polar opposite of the combination of paper pulp, plastics, and "super absorbent" chemicals in disposable adult diapers. The comfort from the cloth diaper is something you know about from your own clothing. It stems from both the cotton diaper's soft touch on sensitive skin and from its breathability -- which ventilates the skin and helps evaporate the potentially irritating ammonia that starts to form as soon as a person wets. As for cotton's health, studies have shown there is less diaper rash with the use of a reusable cotton diaper than with disposable adult diapers. If you do get a rash from disposable incontinence diapers and underwear, change to cotton cloth that is the fabric of choice for use directly on the skin.
Our reusable diaper doublers or incontinence pads with their 8 layers of soft cotton are such great products! They essentially double the absorbency of a diaper. They are also great for using with older adult cloth diapers to boost absorbency. Rather than buying new cloth diapers, try boosting the current absorbency of the ones you have by adding reusable diaper doublers or soakers. This product can also be used to boost up the capacity of adult disposable diapers as well, and remember cloth helps prevent rash.
Diaper rash is the most common skin problem found in adult incontinent sufferers. Typically, skin can appear irritated, swollen, red, and scaly. In some severe cases, the skin can blister and crack. So change your protection frequently to allow the skin to dry completely before using a clean or new diaper; this will help solve these problems. When your skin is irritated, avoid using wipes and instead wash with mild soap. Products containing zinc oxide, such as Destin, can help keep moisture away from your skin and protect it from irritants. However, avoid products such as fungal creams and talc powders. Best of all, use our adult cloth diapers with our plastic pants. There is no better absorbent product for the adult incontinent sufferer than this type of bladder control protection. As always, you are shopping discretely and securely when shopping for you incontinence supplies at LL Medico.
